Gears of War
Video Card Quick Pick: Crysis
ASUS GeForce 8800GTX EN8800GTX/HTDP/768M Video Card
Crysis and Gears of War will be the biggest games to run this year, making a true dedicated gamer get a Graphics Card that cost an arm and a leg. We have yet to hear the true specifications of this game, but we can speculate that it will be about the same as Crysis.
The Graphics Card to Play Gears of War PC

After purchasing the long awaited Gears of War for the PC you may have noticed some bugs, although the Xbox 360 ran near perfect, the PC version doesn't fair so well in several places of the game. A frustrating problem which has only been accounted for a few parts of the game is getting stuck in some of the levels geometry, you will find yourself having to commit suicide before getting out of the bug. The game has also been known to crash occasionally and online doesn't always work smoothly, but either did the Xbox 360 version. Still an awesome game with enough new content to warrant a successful purchase, including a huge (never before beaten) boss that was left hanging from the Xbox version.
This is very pleasing to hear, especially for graphics whores like us, we truly thought Gears of War would be the last game to include a map editor. But the dream has come true, you can now fully make a level all your own using textures, shapes, lighting, particles and programming to shape a level to your liking. This has to be the most robust map creator we have yet to see, fully utilizing the unreal engine is a wet dream for anybody wanting to get into game development.
Gears of War is an absolute art piece, if I could I hang it up on my wall. This games atmosphere is undeniably the best looking graphics technology on the Xbox 360, and now its coming to computers in (hopefully) November. The Gears of War game is a 3rd person (over the shoulder) shooter, where the shooting never stops and were okay with that. The controls were impressive on the Xbox and the tactical genius of the game is extraordinary. Why should you buy if for the computer if it is already on the Xbox, well first off if you don't own a Xbox then it is a must buy right there, and even if you do own the game.. Microsoft promised (surprisingly) quite a bit of extra content. Gears isn't going to be just a port, new levels bosses and single player extras will be added. And finally if you thought it looked great on the Box then can you imagine how its going to look on the PC?
So Microsoft hasn't announced the Graphic/video card requirements, so we can only speculate that it will run along side other power house games like Bioshock and Crysis. It should require the Nvidia 7800, a dual core and about 2 gigs of Ram just like other high end games, if this not reason enough to upgrade your graphics card then I don't know what is, lets take this moment to take a look at the game in all its graphical glory.
