2007's (possibly) PC game of the year Crysis is a huge monster to run on your computer because the game supports all kinds of new technology. This is the recommended graphics card for anyone just wanting to play the game.
ASUS GeForce 8800GTX EN8800GTX/HTDP/768M Video Card
A lot of you know how good Crysis is going to look and how smoothly its going to run, but only with a higher end video card. This card is a little over 500$ but will run Crysis flawlessly, truth be told it will run any game coming out in 2007 and 2008 flawlessly.
Not one of the most anticipated, but the most anticipated game for the PC definitely has to be Crysis. It is a badass first person shooter that pushes graphical limits and speedy gameplay. As the main character you will wear a suit that gives extra abilities like speed, strength, armor and so on, you can throw guys around, jump as high as Mario and speed run through the jungle like another famous FPS (far cry).
It's official, we got the new Crysis specs in and... No surprise. Crysis will require the superb graphics card and lead the way to PC upgrades.

Yes, Crysis' sweet ass is here and were loving it, the best looking game yet made is not a disappointment it's superb and the graphics definitely are amazing. But is this a game for everyone? Well we definitely don't recommend this to your 13 year old sister or your mom unless your mom is Chuck Norris, but more specifically how will this game run on different computers and if this is a game that can be played even if you don't have all the expensive hardware. Well amazingly they made this game pretty flexible, although nobody is going to be able to play this without a Nvidia 7800, (Click on the link to check out prices and purchase information). But you can lower the settings in DirectX 9 significantly enough to make the game run fairly well. DirectX 10 is where things get a bit trickier, this game (even with over 2gigs and an 8800GTX), can run like a flip book in the highest settings. Even with our most powerful computers we still had evident slow down, stutters and visible landslides. So even with the graphics card we recommend
(Nvidia 8800GTX) we also recommend using directX 9 settings, if you have Vista you really need to fool around with the settings because its quite a bit harder to run in comparison to DirectX 9. All will payoff soon once you see how this game handles.
For anybody on the fence about buying Crysis without a 8800GTX graphics card, I say there still might be some risk but it surprised us how flexible the settings are, and we still don't recommend Crysis on laptops (sorry portable user) but this game will punish your computer.
You have probably heard the news that EA's Crysis will be using DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 (for vista owners). But what are the advantages of DirectX 10 graphically in the game Crysis, Crytek's CEO Cevat Yerli explained what this somewhat new technology will provide for the game. Saying that DirectX 10 and a good performance video card will give you all the exact details that make this game look like the real world. Everything from Casting Shadows, multiple light sources, and incredible textures, what you will be viewing in the game is light streaming from the tree tops, light bouncing off of textures and glaring surfaces, every tree branch moving, bushes that will move with your movement and tons more. This a fairly good difference but I don't think it will make everybody go upgrade or buy a new computer with Vista, but the graphical hardcore crowd will be delighted at the least.
Yerli also quickly touched upon the frequent updates they are going to be having in order to keep Crysis looking and running as sharp as possible. They are really trying to give this game some longevity, and want to be certain that people will play it for years after its release. These upgrades will include patches that help your computer run with new software, or adapt to any new performance parameters that may change in the future.
